The Irrigation Association of New York (IANY), established in 1985, is a professional organization of contractors representing all specialties and disciplines of New York state’s irrigation industry. It aims to foster development and economic advancement for its members, and to promote water conservation through efficient irrigation practices and products. Its objectives are:
- Education – Hosting classes and seminars to teach contractors proper irrigation design and maintenance.
- Legislation – Working with national, state and local leaders to influence policies affecting the irrigation industry. Supporting legislation to require irrigation contractors be certified and adhere to “Best Management Practices” of our precious natural resources.
- Support – Networking with members in the industry to benefit business for all.
